I hear ya Jillian. We had some ribeye steaks last night that Steph got free from a guy she works with. I cut up some and gave the crabs some of that and a little bit of corn. The crabs in the upstairs tank DEVOURED it and drug it everywhere. If I thought there was carnage left over from whatever it was I wrote about before, this was worse, roflmao. I love it when they love their food so much. The downstairs tanks crabs are still a little too new I think and still don't appreciate the food like they do upstairs. I can't wait to see what the tanks look like though after tonight. Tonight they get their mini Thanksgiving dinner.
Tonight's menu: Turkey Falafel Mashed potatoes with turnips (without butter and salt of course!) Fresh green beans Mushrooms Olives Celery Bread Cranberry bread Limas, corn, and red bell peppers Squash Apples Emerald cubes Honey Brine shrimp eggs Shrimp exo Pink rose petals Acorns Applesauce Peanut butter Coconut Seeds I go crazy on holidays :rubhands: I can't wait to see the bowl tonight. etals:
It's Thanksgiving, so~~~ Their annual Turkey Wing Pumpkin with crushed nuts, coconut & raisins Chopped apple with honey Corn
Last night I gave them their Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey Giizzards (I had the heart and liver) Mashed Potatoes (mine had the butter, milk and garlic salt) Dressing Cranberry Sauce Green Bean Casserole I figured that I rarely give them stuff that has seasoning of any kind in it and that once or twice a year wouldn't kill them (I hope). Again, the upstairs tank had a lot of fun. I'd look over and there would be one, later there'd be two, later there'd be one again. he food dish this morning has definately been worked over. I went downstairs once and found my giant in the food dish but really didn't see anyone else in there. They are still food slugs but in another couple of months they should be eating like they do upstairs.

Since there has been a lot of trauma (lol) lately with the new tank, and new crablets coming home, four very lucky little brats got spoiled today. We have a popcorn treat - 1 piece for each crabby, popped in coconut oil and drizzled with a bit of honey. A mix of fresh carrots and celery, steamed in the microwave just enough to be melty, but not mushy and cut up into teeny chunks.
