Okay has anyone seen these? http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602-8941367-739262...ref=tgt_adv_XSC10001 I know wire is bad for temp/hum, but it got me thinking... I know I know..."what have we told you about thinking" take a peek, at least it means I'm not the only one with mad ideas clanging around in my head! -Crystal
I saw that someone had made something kinda like that. It used a fine mesh, and she had some tall cholla pieces that extended up into it. Who was that? I know they posted pictures here at HCRU. I would be concerned about the humidity, and she said it did drop, but that her crabs were nevertheless more active because of the increased climbing opportunity. I wouldn't risk losing the humidity myself, though.
Maybe if you covered the top with something then made a small hole that a piece of cholla wood led up to to get to the wire...that way if they need to get more moisture they can go under.
