Ok this may be a dumb question but,do any of you think that maybe once in awhile you can put grape,berry,kiwi-strawberry, or whatever flavors of propel in their water dish??? Kinda as a treat or just something different maybe once a week or once a month. Or would it be bad for them???
Can anybody tell me? I'm not too sure what all they put in it. I could find out if that would help.

Ok,just checking...I honestly didn't think it would be a good idea. I rather ask all of you then risk my hermies lives. Thanks for your input HermitPaws. (:

If you want to give them flavored drinks, you can always go natural and squeeze the fruits yourself. Then put the fruits that can no longer be squeezed into their food dish and put a small dish for the juice.
I've never actually tried this before, but it should work. I can't say if they'll like the juice or not. |

You mean like squeeze an orange in their water dish? Lol,I dunno. Would they drink it? HermitPaws you test that for your food trials! Hehe.
(Seriously though you should consider it) You could do it with apples too,I suppose.

You'd have to use a juicer for apples... which would mean you'd have no apples for feeding since it all turned to juice. And I was thinking more of like, strawberry, rather than orange. I don't think crabs like wet citrus very much.

They also need to be really ripe and good strawberries. Too young and you won't get anything out of it. Then again... why would you feed your hermit crabs the good (and very rare) kind of strawberries. I'd rather eat it for myself and throw a small chunk in the tank. haha... |
