Bamboo?

I was wondering, is it ok for crabs to chew on bamboo? I'm always wanting to check about this before doing so....

My parents own some land next to a river, and there's a LOT of bamboo growing there. I was wondering if it'd be safe for hermies? If so, I might put a few young shoots in the cage with them ^^

It depends on the type of bamboo. Lucky bamboo is toxic for them.

Real bamboo is safe, the stuff sold as lucky bamboo in the little ornamental containers is toxic to turtles and other animals so possibly to crabs as well.
