It was just a little 1/2 gallon one. Hence not being able to put other fish...my 1.5 gal is on the way, but I think we're just gonna leave mr bubbles all to himself

Some fish and acquatic things look easier to keep than they are. I cannot keep an Angelfish alive for more than 5 minutes. I also had a freshwater shark who completely freaked out and died when I cleaned out his tank. I have best luck with Bettas and plecos. Aside from that, the rest of my pets are air breathers and mostly furry (aside from my hermies of course)

Well, we miss him, but I don't think my son really thought he would do too well with Bubbles. It's still weird that it wasn't the "fighting fish" that got him, but picky temp/ph...oh well...

Plecos are incapable of dying, I do believe. We had a bio project once that involved creating a "habitat" in a jar using lake water and anything we could find in the lake. Our jar was the best as far as smaller organisms, but then two days later it was FILLED with algae and everything else was gone. So...in came the pleco. Despite the poor conditions the guy was VERY happy. No airator, nothing. Still was chillin' almost a month later when the project was over. I was proud of him.
