Right click on the photo.....click "properties" and it will give you the specifications. If it is too large, right click on the photo, click "edit" select "stretch and skew" ...then reduce the photo by 50% until it is below the specified mark....you will need to recheck this under properties.....all this should be done and saved in your personal "pictures". After all that you should be able to click on "manage attachments" below the osting area and upload the photo. Voila! Good luck, I'm not all that computer saavy either.

grrr grrr grrr grrr grrr

I've reduced my avatar choice 4 times already. Any smaller and I'll need a microscope to see it. It's down to 16kb (79x63 pixels which should be good because it said must be less than 80/80) and still my uploads fail. WTH?

*edited: hey and there it is! and smaller than everyone elses. *sigh*

what is it giving you as the reason it won't post?...perhaps it's not in the correct format. (jpg, gif)

I feel your frustration! I'd created an animated avatar with my favorite pics and then was told I couldn't use it... then I picked my favorite picture and tried to use it, and by the time I got it under 64 kb it was waaaay under 80x80 pixels and you couldn't even tell what it was! So, for now until I'm able to find a better picture, I'm stuck with ol' Chuckie!

Sooo many cute pics I'd love to use, but they always end up much too small to use because the integrity of the pic is lost.
