I just got my first hermies yesterday (yay!). i bought three (all PPs)- 2 from petco and 1 from petsmart. The petco ones are really healthy, but the petsmart one is missing half of 2 of its legs.
its also really slow, but the only one i could find that had all 6 limbs. i really hope it survives (but im pretty sure it will)

An ISO is an isolation tank. This is to just make sure she is not sick and to get use to the new environment.
It is a small 10 gallon set up the same as my main tank. Right now the humidity is real low as that was her (Evvy) environment. (and fed commercial food as well )I will slowly bring the humidity up to what my main tank is, then after a salt water bath, she will go in the main tank. I was surprised at how friendly she was. Right now she is climbing over everything checking it out. |
