Has anyone else noticed their crabs stashing shells in certain spots???
I went to poop scoop my smalls tank and when I lifted the crabby hut, they had stashed 2 or 3 shells in there. No one had changed shells or anything, they had just pulled the shells into the hut for some unknown reason.

I have certain shells that I never change out because they are always stashing them. It's almost like they're saving them for later... ?

Huh,I have some crabbies that do the same thing and every time I pick up the shells and put them back,I always dump it out because alot of times there's poop in there.
It's like as if they use empty shells as there own personal portapotty. Lol,not sure if it's true or not but, that's want some of my hermies do.

I've noticed that as well! Although mine prefer to use the saltwater pool to do their business. Another favorite is the coconut hut. I guess I'm lucky that they're "potty trained" to only go in certain places!
