I haven't been on this forum for a long time! Aha,sorry about that.
I've recently tooken in 4,small and even micro pp's that my friend couldn't take care of. Sadly. Way too much stuff going on in his life right now.
He felt bad and kinda ashamed giving them to me,but atleast he can always come and see/visit them! I live right up the street from him.
One of the hermits that he gave me only has one eye! He's been down ever since I recieved them,hopefully molting. It's been about hmm,I guess little over a week now. Is there a chance that he could grow it back?
He has a gel limb on it,but I'm not sure. I've been doing some research on it, all I've found is that there's like a 50/50 chance of him growing it back and all you can do is hope/wish for the best. I've never had a crab with only one eye,it's kinda strange. Lol,
He's a very unique hermie,that's for sure,even though he is a tad bit handicapped. Thus,getting his name Special Ed. Kinda seem's mean,but it fits him. Hehe. The other hermies that he recently gave me name's are Sandy,Coral, & Junior. 2,boys & 2,girls. Just keeping you updated on my healthly hermits.

From what I can tell, vision doesn't help much anyway....they way they just walk off into oblivion. Probably would be weird to see one with only one eye. Poor little guy Do you know how he lost it?

Oh,really? He act's and does stuff like a normal crab would,it's just he only has one eye. Sometimes I worry that he get's into a shell fight or something he'll lose his other eye and I'm not sure what will happen to him if he can't even see! =/ I'm not sure,my friend bought him like that,he didn't realize that he only had one eye till he looked at him more closely because,he does have a little gel limb were an eye should be. I'm guessing he got into some sort of fight? They don't have shells for them to change into in the petstores sooo,I'm not sure how he lost it? He's down molting now & I'm hoping that he will re-generate his eye,since he has a gel limb. My friend said that Speicial Ed never did dig down for him and he had sand substrate. I have half sand & EE substrate and Special Ed has dug down in the EE. He's been down for quite awhile. Hopefully,when he comes up he'll have two eyes.
