I had a small crabby miracle last night. I crept into the dark room and tried to go incognito as I positioned myself in front of the tank before switching on the room light. All the crabs in the 10 gallon run as soon as they see a shadow or detect movement. I was anticipating seeing a couple of crabs. I switched on the light and began to count....1,2,3,4,5,6!!! All six crabs were out and about! I sat as still as I could, marveling at the sight of everyone.....As soon as I flinched, it was a stampede to find cover

I'm still trying to catch a glimpse of the illusive Fester in my 29 gallon. My son has seen him twice in the last few days. He came up and changed shells and disappeared again.

The first thing I did was check the temp. and humidity to make sure there wasn't a problem. I'm not counting on it happening again for awhile!
I do believe that the outside temp. theory holds water so to speak. We have had outside temps. in the upper 80s and lower 90s and my crabs seem to be more active than during the winter time.
