To answer your question we need more info. What sizes are your crabs? When did you get them? Have any of them been down, and for how long? Do any of them have very pointy, sharp black toenails-that means they have likely recently moulted?

I think I'm having a moult? my lrg /jumbo hulkster went down tonight he's never buried before, had him for two months now.also I heard a chirp and some clicking I thought I was hearing things but too my surprise it was him a the bottom of the EE. I could see him utb he rarely go to the other side of the tank. I hope this is it? trying to drink a two liter soda for the bottle to protect him if this is so. also do anyone think or suggest I should put a towel on that side to keep it dark beings though he's located at the front corner exposed to the light?

A piece of cardboard or black paper will work. Then you can peak from time to time.
I wouldn't worry about using the soda bottle unless one of the other crabs starts to dig him up. I had that happen just recently. Scamp wanted the shell.

PLEASE leave the crab alone- dont coke bottle him- crabs molt all the time in the tank with no mishaps- save the coke bottle only if you see someone attacking him, besides if he is not molting you will freak him out- no need to cover- just be a nervous parent and wait
