I don't know if he is molting, never been through it yet. The first time I found him, he had lost two claws. This time I found a leg and a claw but, no crab. No fish smell in the tank. Maybe he'll be fine, our it's another one losing limbs.

can hermies lose limbs while molting, not just stress? my baby one molted andwhen he came up he is missing a walking leg, he seems content so i didn't think anything of it, but he could have been stressed because my crabs moves the shells all ontop of where he was molting.

no, not all the time, a few days after i brought my first 2 crabs home one of them mush have top molted, because i saw an exo lying there, i was so sad for a few min. because i thought he was dead, but it was hollow and he wasn't. but i never find an exo anymore, i use EE so it is hard to tell what is part of the EE and what is part crab and what is part exo.1 crabby [my baby] has lost a limb, but i usually only find bits and peices because they usually weat their exo.
