If you purchase them from a reputable place like the Crabbage Patch they'll get to your house alive and in one piece. Lots of members have done it before. The key to doing it is get them through overnight shipping.

Hey Frogs N Flowers, it seems as if we're both from NC and we both joined in July 2008. Amazing, LOL!
![]() Hermies Rule, why is overnight shipping ideal?

Because sometimes the crabs get routed through really hot areas like in TX or through really cold areas like up north in Chicago. So, if they don't have express shipping then they linger in these areas and bake or freeze and suffocate (to say nothing of their hunger levels
). That's why overnight shipping is best and actually that's the only shipping method the Crabbage Patch offers for shipping crabs. I hope you followed me on that. I'm only repeating what I've heard others and the CP say.
