I know mung beans are safe for them to eat...not sure about the vegetation they produce.

I just out them in the food dish and the humidity in the tank kind of makes them soggy after a couple of days. You could soak them in advance if you like to change your food daily.

Ive planted some mung beans in my tat and it is in the sandy part (yes i have sand now yey!) and the mung beans grew about 3-5 inches and the hermies just destroyed them

im not sure if they grazed on it, but i guess its ok to plat them in your tat

mung beans will grow in sand and EE but im not sure for any other substrate but ill bet they could grow in any substrate, just water them with fresh water

and another thing mung beans grow quickly

happy planting

I've never done beans but I plant stuff in my tat all the time.

The most success i have is with wheat which grows into wheat grass but they definitely love it.
