Question newbie question

I live in the philippines, and i cant find anything on the net to help me in my crabbing

I have some questions

1.Do i still need to use a UTH?
2.Im not using any humidity gauge or temp gauge is it ok? (I assume that its ok since the temp in here is the same as where they came from plus its humid in here)
3.Im not sure about my substrate if it aquarium gravel or crushed corals, I know that im supposed to use EE or sand, but EE is not available in here and the sand in here is dirty, sometimes it has little pices of glass, is there any alternative substrate?
4.Most of my crabs didn't dig in the substrate (im guessing cause it was wrong) is it ok?

Please help me

Cant help you with a temp question when I dont know your temps silly!!! In my head its always warm and lovely there.........you ALWAYS need temp/humidity gauges.
Sand always has glass that is a natural component (silicia) you can clean some if you wash it then bake it (can you buy it in a store ex: home improvement store--play sand)- EE is a good substrate- I use coral but not as a digging area. They cant make a cave in that and ditch the gravel.
You must be able to get some great exotics.........lucky you.

EE I suggested = coconut fiber substrate that expands............

I dont do C I do F when it comes to temps so 75-82 % range
maybe you can order on-line the supplies you need (or is that what you meant)?? Not sure what is available to you - good luck

what i meant was its not available in the pet shops around
