Digging down over UTH

I am sitting here watching one of my crabs burry itself in a corner on the side of the tank that has the UTH on it. Is this ok? I was wondering if I should move it since it is still slightly visible or should I leave it alone? I am afraid it will get too hot. I guess if it gets hot it would have enough sense to move. Right? I know I will have to move the palm tree, it has uprooted it.

Hermies have enough sense to move if they are too warm. Several of mine have dug down near the heater and they are fine.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. I have been busy. Well, it has already moved and dug down in many other places since then. I can't keep up with them.

I think mine have memberships in the UMW (United Mine Workers) as they have tunnels all over. They go down in one place and come up at another place. That's why Digger got his name. As soon as we got him, he dug down only to come up for food and water.

My Daisy ALWAYS buries herself over the heater. Then she gets hot and tunnels herself to a new spot underground. You'd think she'd learn.
