using rocksalt for saltwater bowl

can i use the normal aquarium rocksalt for my saltwater bowl??
and how salty is the 'ocean mix' in percentage?

The saltwater I use is called"API Aquarium Salt" And I really dont know how Salty it is

I use Instant Ocean because it's the only kind my pet store carries. But it's one of the better ones, as is API. You can use any saltwater mix that they have for fish.

Is there a special recipe - or follow the API directions? The regular gallon recipe doesn't seem very salty.

I use Oceanic natural sea salt and just follow the mixing instructions on the bag and have been successful with that

I use the API salt and just kinda eyeball it!! I mix up my waters in two-litre bottles so it's always ready. I just pour some salt in! Always had good luck with it!
