OK it took me all afternoon to do this here we go
the answer is for a 20oz bottle of water you will need 1.3 Tablespoons of INSANT OCEAN!!! Heres how you do it..... it said on the box that a 1/2 cup of salt makes one gal 1/2 cup is 4oz 4oz is to = 8 Tablespoons A 8 can be broken down into 4 groups So if a 1/2 a cup is for a gallon, 20 makes 100 in 5 that makes it like 1.3 tablespoons thanks to my computer wiz dad and the web site: www.Metricconverions.org |

I use Oceanic and I make it by the half gallon (2 quarts) which uses 4 Tablespoons of salt. 1 Quart (32 Oz) needs 2 Tablespoons. 16 Oz (2 cups) would use 1 Tablespoon.
I would make the 2 cups batch. Trying to figure out the remaining 4 oz isn't worth the head ache (but thanks HermitPaws for your work). Besides, measuring spoons do not come in .3 tablespoon size.

Thank you to HermitPaws, HermitPaws' Dad, and Cheryl! At long last I have my ratio! I have to make up a batch this weekend, so it was great timing.
Everyone on this site is so helpful and patient, especially to people with little experience, like me. Thanks again! Donna M. |
