So I noticed today that I have mites. I saw a few. I have new ecoearth and actually a brand new tank I can put the hermies in. I am just wondering what is the best way to make sure that I get the mites off the hermies. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I plan on boiling all the items in their tank too to make sure we end up mite free. Hopefully!!

The best way, and least stressful for the crabs, is predatory mites.
You can read about them here: http://www.crabstreetjournal.com/modules.php?name=News&...read&order=0&thold=0

Are you certain they are mites and not some type of insect? Are they just in the substrate or are they definitely on the crabs. Also, how long have you had the crabs in question?
If you have had them for a fair amount of time (say two months at least-enough time to have destressed), I would suggest a brackish water bath for mites if you don't want to go to the expense of using hypos.

The Hypos will eat all breeds of pest mites, as well as fungus gnat and thrips larvae.
