Elderberries
On the safe food list, elderberry flowers are ok. What about the berry itself? Is it safe?

I'll try them then. At my mother's house she has a huge elderberry bush (tree?). If my crabs like them, I'm gonna do a harvest and probably freeze the berries. We'll see how that goes. Thanks you guys!

My pappy used to go nuts over the things. He ate them all the time and even made wine with them. He lived to be 88 years old, so it might just do the trick for hermies too, minus the booze.

Seems that they like em'! They are taking turns eating them right now. I think I'm gonna freeze some in an ice cube tray. Yay!
Switchblade, sounds like maybe we should all start eating elderberries if your pappy lived to be 88! (Maybe make a lil' wine)
