Default My Food!

I wanna know what you guys think of my hermit crab meal plan.

The Basic Kibble
1 egg (with shell)
benefits: natural salt, cholesterol, complete protein, vitamins, and calcium (from shell)

1/4 cup carrots
benefits, vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and fiber

1/4 cup bananas
benefits: good carbs, potassium, vitamin C

1/4 cup oak bark
benefits: tannins, cellulose (for fiber)

1 tablespoon whole flax seed
benefits: omega 3, fiber
Crab Sauce
2 capsules fish oil
benefits: omega 3

1 tbsp. raw honey
benefits: energy, various phytonutrients, and many others we don't even know about yet!
Alternating Foods
Sun dried whole baby shrimp
benefits: astaxanthin, roughage ( from shell, good for digestion)

Freeze dried bloodworms
benefits; high protein

I put all of the kibble ingredients together in the blender and put it on liquify for about 5 minutes, and then once it is at a batter-like consistency I put it in the microwave for about 5 minutes. I then drizzle the Crab Sauce on top and grind it up good with a fork and knife. the sauce should mix in well and then you will have a nice kibble-like texture. Every day Ialternate between mixing bloodworms or shrimp with it for a little variety. I refrigerate it because of the egg and fish oil and I keep it for about a week before making a new batch.

Wow! That is so awesome and creative of you. Sounds very healthy. Has a little of everything that they need. I'm gonna try it! Thanks!

Thats great I have been looking for a way to give them everything they need in one shot, this is a great idea. They normally just sift through the mixture of stuff I put in there, and only eat what they want...spoiled brats... I think I'll give it a try as well.
Thanks Switchblade

I always have a lot of this stuff left over each week. I was wondering if anyone is willing to buy some if I would decide to dehydrate it and mail it or something.

Dehydrating would be good, but why not just condense the recipe and make a lot less?
