Default Feeding

I forgot to ask. When giving the crabs the same food we eat, do I mince it into tiny pieces? or just let them have the larger pieces, like whole berries, strands of chicken, etc.

Also. How long does salt water stay usable at room temp? I have a gallon mixed up from a few weeks ago, and don't use very much at a time. When should I make new?

I would experiment a little. If your crabs are very smalll, mincing the food for them would probably be best.

I make salt water by the gallons and it stays just fine- cooler conditions vs very hot would be optimal.

I put my water in the refrigerator. I have smaller containers at room temperature. When the small container is empty, I fill it from the larger reserve and allow it to go to room temperature before using it in the tank.

Yes, as long as there is no salt, pepper or other seasonings.
