because I have a bird and she eats it all the time.....

bloodworms are fine. You can let them defrost in a food dish.

plain cuttlebone yes. I'm not sure what they use to flavor the ones in the store, so if you can find out let us know.

Vicky - it is an edible (to humans) tuberous root that is yellow and papery, while its inside is creamy white with a crisp texture that resembles raw potato or pear. The flavor is sweet and starchy, reminiscent of some apples, and it is usually eaten raw, sometimes with salt, lemon, or lime juice and chili powder. It is grown mainly in Mexico.

Jicama is safe. Bloodworms can be fed frozen, although the crabs might not go to them until they warm to room temperature.

It is very possible that jicima has not made it onto any list yet, but it is safe. It isn't a favorite food of hermit crabs and many people don't even know what it is, so it is not surprising to me that no one has included it in their lists.
