Ahhhh.. Mites!!!!

HELP I GOT TINY WHITE MITES in my 20 GaL

there are not many and aren't crawling on crab yet.

i don't have money for new subtrate!!!
I use EE ( Can i bake this?)

i know i need to bake every thing, but at what temp and how long?

They may be book lice- which are ok- you can scoop them out- mites have 8 legs......cant bake EE
If they were the bad kind they would be on the crabs

Wait till you have money for new substrate then deep clean everything. I was having problems of the same sort if you remember. If its book lice you'll be okay until you can deep clean. scoop out what lice you see. If you don't they'll reproduce and take out all food sources. offer foods only at night then remove them in the morning. Hope that helps!

YA your right their book lice....
what do you get book lice from???

And how long do i bake the wood and what temp???

Book lice just appear-I hate them just cause they are a bug but they actually eat poop n mold and other gross things

Woods and the EE will always have them and moss. Bake at 350 or leave out in a torterous hot day!

I use salt water to decompress the EE which helps to kill any bug or mold spore.
