Default Looking to Adopt in TX

Okay, I've mentioned Freecycle to several members who need supplies cheap or would like to find unwanted hermit crabs. I've decided to give Freecycle a try to see if I can get a 20 Gal. and some hermies from people who are tired of caring for them....don't know how in the world that could happen. I will let you guys know how successful my attempt is. Wish me luck! Hopefully the right person/people will see my post.

A lot of times on my local Freecycle and Craig's List, there are people giving away one hermit crab... they say that their kids have just "gotten tired of it" and they just want to get rid of it. One time, however, I found a lady giving away a 40 gallon tank with about ten hermies still inside. I didn't need the tank (as I have a 40 gallon of my own) but she said that she didn't want to unbury the crabs so the whole set up had to go together. So now, I have 2 40 gallons and I got some additional crabbies out of the deal as well. You'd be surprised what you'll find... good luck!

Why breed and buy when shelter animals die?

If you can't afford the vet, you can't afford the pet.

Thanks...I'm traveling and haven't had time to check my email today, but I'm hoping to have a response or two! (fingers crossed)
