I don't know if this will help or not
but my babies love to see me so when I hold them they come way out of there shells, and I just turn them upside down for a second so they are hanging and you can see, It's harder to see on the smaller crabs but the big ones you can see quite easily.
Oh and congrats on the molt Stephen, I wish mine would molt....
