If you bought them from Petsmart or Petco, they are most likely run of the mill PPs (Purple Pinchers)....PPs had a huge Big Pincher (BP) or "Soldier claw" that is purplish in color and have round eyes on their eye stalks. Petco also carries Strawberry Crabs (Straws) from time to time. Straws are as bright red as a strawberry and do not have a huge BP. E's (Ecudorians) are usually bluish green in color and do not have a BP. Their eyes are elongated. Try the ID chart....I also have some photos of my crabs in the Photo albums and my old posts. All of my crabs are PPs. YOu can see how they vary in color, but they all have the BP.
