I have 2 that have been buried since christmas. I think they are ok, but I was wondering the same thing. I would like to check on mine too. Do they smell when they are buried? My tank smells fine! Maybe they come out at night from a tunnel and come up in a different spot from where you expect? Who knows, I would love it if they were not nocturnal.
