Bleach would not be a good thing because it's a chemical. Vinegar is what they used to use to clean homes before all the commercial chemicals were available. It works great for removing mineral deposits and coffee/tea stains as well. I use it to clean the little catch tray under my automatic water disoenser in the door of the fridge. Pour a little in the tray and let it soak for about 10 min. and all the mineral deposits come right off. If you get a a used tank with mineral deposits, vinegar will remove those too.
