Hi everybody, just checking in after an absence of many months. In Feb got diagnosed with cancer and have been doing all the usual cancer stuff, like surgery, radiation, and now hormone therapy. Been really crazy, but my two hermies, archy and mehitabel, are doing very very well and really can keep me amused.

mehitabel moved into a beautiful new shell in the spring and has been there ever since. She has discovered how much she enjoys climbing all the various columns and walls and greek jars in her enclosure. In her previous life with a former owner, she had nothing to dig in and nowhere to climb! She even spent a day or two hanging upside down! from the top rear corner of the enclosure. I taped the lid shut just in case. Meanwhile, archy went down in March for his second molt and emerged only two weeks ago. He always seems to like to play shellgames and switches back and forth over and over again after a molt. At the moment he is in a beautiful green striped number. He enjoys spending his time on the top edge of the climbing wall.

So now they are nearly comparable in size to one another and are really quite beautiful.

And it's good to be back and reading everybody's posts again.
