Zamboni chose a new shell when surfacing (finally) after a looooong molt! I was so please that he chose my most recently purchased petholatus seashell! Isn't he gorgeous?!?! Much nicer than those icky painted shells. I think I'm going to have to order the shell w/ the dolphin design on my next visit to the Crabbage Patch!

Those shells are polished and carved. They sell them at the sea shell shop I frequent....They are pretty!

I ordered the dolphin shell, I just love it. Thanks for your beautiful picture. I just hope one of my crabs likes it as well.

I was wondering when I saw them at the store if the crabs would accept it. Looks like we have mixed results.

I'll have to see if he wears a hole in it... It seemed like the walls in the one I got were pretty thick, even with a good layer being carved away.

He looks wonderful!!!! (Pretty PP, by the way!!!) One of my new jumbos squeezed himself into the same palm-tree shell....it's way too small for him, though. (Only about a 1 1/4" opening!) Hopefully, he will soon have enough sense to choose one of the other larger turbos in the tank & leave that shell for a smaller dude!!!

When I go to the Crabbage Patch next Sunday, I'm getting one of each. If my crabs don't like them, maybe I'll put them where I can enjoy them.
