    Hi Everyone,
I was curious, whatâ??s the longest time youâ??ve kept a crab in captivity. See the second poll for the average time you have kept them. Thanks!

I know (well, through the internet, but still) one person who has 11 years so far. I'm at two years (close enough...Rack and Benny were September, but it's almost there-ish...) just about myself.

yeah that was me and I am excited about it too. I dont know if I can handle 30 years like Jonathan and Kate but....sheesh that would make me really really old

    Hi Hermez
So what insight can you give to help our crabs have a long life?

Also, I saw your tank pics on your link. That's a cool idea using a divider to separate your water and sand area. With a 29 gallon I never thought I could have two levels since I wouldn't have enough deep substrate, but your idea makes it possible. So how has this layout worked for you?

Also, what kind of sand do you have and is that crushed coral under the water dishes?
