Wow, Astro looks AWESOME!  He looks so pale in his before pic.  Was that how he looked when you got him or was that right before he molted?  His new tips look great and wow, he's hairy.  Nice eyelashes and those toenails look REALLY sharp.  Those nails, albeit short, are sharp as heck aren't they?  I found it to be quite uncomfortable for a newly molted crab to walk on my arm or back of my hand.  Those tips just dig right in.

Congrats on a great molt.  Is that your crab that refuses to get out of the painted shell?  Lol, after his molt perhaps he'll go on a shell shopping spree, eh?

    Thanks all

Chrispy that is a natural shell--all my crabs are ala natural now! That was shelbert in a hideous green shell- he is the one that is losing his sight!

Awww he's adorable! Congrats to Astro! Where do you find all your exotics??? I've managed to find everything but Cavs, Violas, and Straws. NC just seems to be bare of Straws, Cavs, and Violas. :( PetCo usually has PP's and E's. PetSmart usually has PP's and the occasional Ruggie.

Didn't I read that you were moving to NC in the Fayetville area Herm?? That's not too far from me. Maybe 45 minutes at most! I smell a potential get together at the cost coming on!  :partyhat4:

Nice!  That is so cool that they can grow back missing parts.

I can't get any Cavs or Violas here in Maryland either.

The Cavs and Violas you ordered from the Crabbage Patch, right Herm?  Lucky dog.  Want to drop off a couple of them on your way through MD on your way to NC? :rubhands:

Congrats!!!!! Wow Astro looks great, his color has developed quite nicely. My Viola Red, took 2 years to get out of a painted shell! Finally he settled on a murex endiva. He was the most stubborn, but now like you, all are natural! They are my favorite species, so mysterious! I need to get him a buddy, though. Maybe I'll see what Tammy is up to around the spring time.

I forgot to mention, Viola's tend to molt like clockwork. The first hurdle is the (first) molt, then it's smooth sailing. You will probably guess when it's almost time for the next. I noticed my Viola's are quick as well. They don't fiddle dadle, they do what they got to do and get out. :petals:
