can i feed my crabs white rice from a box?
I did but make sure when you cook it, it is cooked in declorinated water. What I did was put some rice in a cup and pour the declorinated water in the cup and wait till it got soft then drained out the rest of the water. I wouldn't feed it raw as when it gets wet it expands and I am not sure what would happen if the crab ate it without it being expanded first. I remember reading a topic on another forum about it and they said they were not sure if it would expand in the crabs tummy or not.
well i know that!
Can they eat uncooked white rice?
Which is better for them: brown rice or white rice?
I imagine whole grain brown rice would be better. It is a healthier choice for humans as it has more vitamins, fiber, etc. This would apply to the crabs as well, I believe.
I agree with flamelet, brown rice is much better, as it has more fiber and nutrients that they need.
brown rice is great for them! i feed it sometimes but they dont seem to touch it. how are your hermies doing? you havent been on in a while. i hpe everything is ok!
I'll try to feed some of my crabs rice. If I have any... Humf I don't have anything around my house. Where so you find all this stuff clover? You must have a very large place to put food thingy.
Oh stop it! LOL You guys are gonna make me start drooling all over the computer at the thought of eating brown rice!! It's my favorite food ever.
And I do second clover in saying that it's a lot more healthy for the crabs and you.
Cool! I have brown rice flour in the chicken/ veggie baby food. You're right, clover. hayleye1997 hasn't been on in ages. I hope her hermies are okay.
