White Pumpkins ????

    Just a random Q's. Are white pumkins safe to feed to you crabs or is it just the Orange ones?(Saw that it was on the list.) Thanks to those who repliy:D

    I'm sure they'd be fine, although the "orange" coloring is what helps the crabs with their coloring. It's why we suggest orange bell peppers, etc.

    I tried to research these white pumpkins for nutritional value, but never found anything. I am sure they are safe, like all human-edible winter squash, but there is probably a weakness in caretenoids. However, there are plenty of other nutritional reasons to eat pumpkins, so if that is what you have on-hand, go for it!

    When you slice into one, is the flesh pale too. Or is the white only skin deep?
