what species is Inferno ?

    i just want to know what species my hermit crab is
    he is mostly burgundy and some red and purple.

    Without a pic you won't get a 100% ID on him. But form the colors you mentioned he sounds like he could be a PP.

    Well if he's not mostly red, he's not a strawberry.
    obviously not a blueberry,either (okay, so berries aside...)
    Is the purple mostly on the claw? If so, he's probably a PP (purple pincher/Caribbean crab)
    He might be a ruggie with the burgundy, but i'm not too knowledgeable about them...

    I have PPs who are burgundy - if they get enough colorful foods in their diet they can have really interesting colors! Mine are a deep red with lots of purple on legs and claws and such. Exo color alone often isn't enough to identify a crab's species.
