i take it out of the shell and flush it down the toilet. since when i had a crouple of crabs die, they died like 5 days before the trash guys came, so i didn't want them stinkin' up the bin or even in the house. i feel bad when i flush them but it's my only choice.

I bury them in the backyard and have a funeral service (I even chisled out a tomb stone for one.) The death of a friend is a sad time and a respectful burial is what I think is best.

Fortunately for me, I haven't had to do this. I can say though that I dont think I could stick my fingers in there and pull them out. I would feel like I was pulling them away from their belonging or something. If I should lose one I'd bury him in the back yard.
