www.ShellHorizons.com are one of the best. They have a minimum order of $50.00 but everything is well worth it. Super great savings close to wholesale prices not to mention beautiful shells with a wide variety to pick from. They also ship extremely fast so if you are impatient like myself it is another plus, Lol. I love the Polished Pica shells. You can also see what Eric @ www.TheHermitShack.com has in stock if you are looking for something in particular as he is a super nice fellow and always willing to help anyway possible.

[IMG] Thanks, and Cappa yes I'm very impatient. Ha $50 I think I need at least a $100. I let my husband boil my shells while I did some running and he fell asleep on the coach and at least 100 shells have cracked and some even broke.

So now I have to buy lots of new shell(Bummer)hehe [IMG]

PS did I ever mention that I like to shop...

I think we noticed that when you told us you were almost done Christmas Shopping..LoL

I'd go with shellhorizons.com also, I love looking at all the shells, even if we aren't buying. They have alot to chose from, at very reasonable prices.

[IMG] [IMG] Pretty well much every place that has beened mentioned is about the best places to get shells, but have ya also tried on eBay under seashells or collectables and even look at other sections of eBay sometimes ya can come across deals where there is big quanities in a bag that ya can get for cheap.. Try checking places on line under wholesale or bulk.. [IMG]

I have been boiling the salt water in a glass pot and when it gets to a rolling boil I turn it off and put my shells in it for awhile. Then I also rinse in a bowl of cool salt water.

I don't know what he did [IMG] But, atleast he feels really bad [IMG]

I can't believe I am getting to this so late! I love to shell shop and probably have around 500 shells. In the STORES EXPOSED forum I had posted a bunch of great places under the thread Favorite Hermie Stores. Check it out!

This weekend I found some shells at Micheals and Joannes (Hobby Lobby's). The price was very reasonable. Some of the shells that came in bulk weren't usable- but I did get a lot that I could use.!
