could be mold. How high is your humidity and how long do you leave the fruit in the tank?

if the sides of your tank are moist, your humidity is probably too high. I got my guage from petdiscounters.com. It was cheap and it is a temp and humidity in one. I tried to guess by how "wet" the air inside the tank felt--I was WAY WAY off!! You really cannot guess humidity!!
I'm still leaning toward mold on the fruit! I put mine in straight from the freezer--it's in tiny pieces-and by morning it looks pretty mushy and gross!!

Try to get a gauge-it's really really important for your crabbies!!

Oh, my bad!! My tank only fogs when the humidy goes up to about 90%. Most of the time it is stable at aroung 80% and the sides are not fogged. I guess it is different from tank to tank. Maybe substrate has something to do with it, or temp maybe??

I think mine does it at times, because I notice it's only when it's colder in the house but still at around 80 degrees in the tank, if that made sense? but idk, i just thought it was suppose to fog when the humidity was right, I get annoyed with it and always wipe it off.

My tank doesn't fog even if the humidity should get over 90 (which is rare, but sometimes happens).
