I have been expiramenting and researching so I can develop the ultimate hermit crab food. Here are the ingredients of the Ultimate Food Prototype and the benefits of the recipe. Please everyone tell me improvemnts I can add to it.

Ultimate Food Prototype ingredients for 1 cup batch:

    1/3 cup oak bark

1/3 cup carrots (not peeled and without top)

1 egg including shell (which should be equal to about 1/3 cup)

Wash all ingredients with ho water and put them in a blender until well ground. Put the Ultimate Food Prototype in a mirowave until well cooked. Ultimate Food Prototype must be refrigerated and any food in the hermit crab's food dish must be changed within 24 hours of putting it in.

    Ultimate Food Prototype Benefits:

Strong scent to attract crabs since crabs are scavengers and use their sense of smell to find food.

All natural ingredients for optimum health of crab.

    Easily made with household ingredients.

Oak bark for tannins which enhance color of the crab and have health benefits such as helping digestive system etc.

Carrots for fiber and carratenoids which protect cells and enhance color of the crab.

Eggs which provide protein, cholesterol, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, folate, vitamin B12, and the shell adds calcium.

Here is the the recipe for Ultimate Food Prototype 1.5, which I didn't try out yet so this isn't official otherwise it would be 2.0 and may be changed to 2.0 if it works better than 1.

    1/4 cup oak bark

1/4 cup carrots (not peeled and without top)

    1/4 cup of peeled bananas

1 egg including shell (which should be equal to about 1/4 cup)

Wash all ingredients with hot water and put them in a blender until well ground. Put the Ultimate Food Prototype 1.5 in a mirowave until well cooked. Ultimate Food Prototype 1.5 must be refrigerated and any food in the hermit crab's food dish must be changed within 24 hours of putting it in.

    Ultimate Food Prototype 1.5 Benefits:

Strong scent to attract crabs since crabs are scavengers and use their sense of smell to find food.

Would it be safe to just combine a few of the things on the safe list?

I see a few things that I love and I think to maybe put them together for the crab.

Yeah, as long as their safe you can feed them in by themselves or in any combination you want. Combinations are a good way to make sure they are getting a balanced diet.

Yeah, as long as it's on the safe list it's fair game by itself or in combination with other items on the safe list. Combining foods is a good way to make sure they're getting the nutrition they need.
