why would you consider using it after reading the thread? I hope you understand by using it you are putting your crabs health at risk.

That's what Im talking about, why use FMR? Its a commercial food KNOWN to have bad preservatives in it. It could cause your crabs to have molt deformities and/or kill them.

The information is out there. You choose to ignore it, that's your right. But if you ask a question, and get a reply and don't use the information then why bother asking in the first place?

They put that crap in the food so your hermie ends up dying and you gotta spend more money to buy more hermies. Please listen to what we are saying we have had a bit of experience in hermies and please stop feeding them commercial food.

go and check this site out epicureanhermit.com - Home it has all the safe and unsafe hermie food. Hermies dont eat very much maybe you are not noticeing that they are eating it. I get all my food from the Addiction store and my hermies are very healthy and have wonderful coloring here is a few pics of my hermies.

Commercial foods have a pheremone added to it so the crab is drawn to that food. It's not healthy, a crab needs a varied diet of certain things. Especially when pre-molt. They need tannins, proteins, lipids, fruits, veggies, and more. That commercial food will not give them this.

May I ask what sites are saying this is ok to feed? As I belong to many sites and I know none of them will tell you FMR is ok to feed.

You know what would happen if you stop feeding them that commercial crap? They'd get healthy, possibly more active, molt ok, and live long. Sounds good to me, but then again it's just me.

Hermit crabs eat very little. Keep putting fresh in there. Seriously it's for the best.
