SuperCrab surface molted for some reason and when I woke I see her exosketon and him/her. So she/he is in the ISO doing nothing.

You've been having more surface molts than most, CoolDoggy. What's your tank like? What kind of substrate/how big/how do you treat your water/what foods do you offer/what's the temp/humidity/etc.?

None of my hermies have molted yet, but I have provided extra shells, a shelter, and coconut fiber to burrow in. . .

I have a foot of sand and my tank has plenty of room for any one to dig so still have no clue why he surface molted.
He roaming the ISO tank right now and he has red antennas and black eyes which I know is good. I crushed his exo so he can eat it.

If you've got a foot of sand, 12 inches, and you have a standard 10 gallon, then you'd have 3/4 of an inch of space for your crabs to walk, because a standard 10 gallon is about 12 inches tall.

EDIT: Scratch that, you'd actually have no space for your hermit crabs to walk, as the measurement counted the black top where the lid rests. Your tank would be filled to the brim with sand. It's surprising that he surface molted, because I'd be surprised if he would fit in the tank without burying.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. There must be a mistake in your measuring

Sorry I said a foot, I meant to say 3 inches (my brain is somewhere else today).
Here's photo of my tank (it may show up or not).
