My straw Spiderman finally switched shells!Me & my friend Jeremy saw it all!Idk if I was seeing things but,the thing that looks white on PP's when they change was all red on the straw with like a white stripe on the side.
Anyone else watch a Straw swap & seen this?

Keris, is that gravel you have for a substrate? If it is, you should change to sand, and there should be enough of it for your largest crab to completely submerge.

When I knew that one of my pps were going to swich shells I sat and watched him for about an hour. I left for about 1 minute to get some water, and came back and he switched. I was sooooo disappointed. One other time one swiched shells and then within 1 hour he switched back again to the first one. That confused me. He hasn't swiched since.

Sometimes they prefer their old shell to the new one and they'll switch back. Some can also be quite picky I might add! :)
