Starfish

    I went to hobby lobby they had natural starfish is that okay for my crabs to eat? They came in a little woven basket is that okay for them to make a moss pit?

    I hope someone answers this that knows caue I had it in my hands last week to and then put it back cause I didn't know if it would be safe either

    I think they might be okay because they have that star fish smell they don't look washed or anything. My hobby lobby has sand dollars i wounded if they are safe too. I see they had dye ones but knew not to get them because of the dye. :idunno:

    You need to know if they have been bleached.

    If the basket is wood then you will have to be very careful about putting the moss or any other thing in it that will be moist.  It could cause the wood to mildew and rot.

    As far as the starfish itself, let me see if I can get an answer for you because I'm not 100% sure myself.  :flower:

    oh dried out ones- I def think they bleach them, I would not chance it.

    I haven't heard any more about them being bad.  Hopefully everything is back to normal.  :flower:

    If I cook them for my crabs can I use extra light  olive oil?

    You can use olive oil. And I always give mine eggs from the store.

    orrrrr you can zap them in the microwave like I do, put them in a cup and whisk them, zap them a few secs, then whisk again, zap and done. If you don't whisk between zaps it will explode! :scream:

    i like them that way to but i put a little milk w mine add some ham or bacon { all ready cooked} you can dd stuff to your crabs to, make them an omlet, just don't add milk.
