any 1 know how to grow the sprout seeds in hermitfuns sprout pack?
Do you put them in the tank and let them grow?
or do you grow them out side the tank in a plastic pot?

    any thing helps
    thanks

I ordered those also, I'm just following the directions on the site if I had gotten one of those potted ones. I got some 2inch terracotta pots from Michaels(craft store) then i put some earthworm castings in, sprinkled seeds on and mixed in the castings with seeds. then you water them and wait till they are 1/4 inch then you can put them in the tank for the hermies to munch on.

this is my first time with the sprout packet so i'll let you know how they turn out since i potted them a couple of days ago!

Alright!! Thanks. I think though, i going to try using Old 2 liter soda bottles with a hole in the bottom with one packet and then use a little plastic pots for the rest.
    thanks!

My crabs absolutely love the hermiefun seeds! It took them a little while to find them, but when they did those little sprouts didn't stand a chance.

I thought that you plant the seeds inside the EE and let them eat it. WHat are good foods to feed my crabs?

PS: this post gets me to micro crab

Check the safe food list. It is in the nutrition section.

I grow them, offer them (pick them out of the pot) in the food bowl, and freeze the rest. There's been some interest, but not as much as I'd hoped for. I just don't get any sun in my apartment so I have to grow them outside and don't want to put an 'outside' pot inside their tank what with bugs that might be in the worm castings and such.
