I went to the beach today and got some sargassum algae, or at least I think it is based on pics from the internet. Is it safe for the hermies? How should I give it to them? Should I freeze the rest for a later date? Thanks

Hmmmmm......this is a toughy. Personally I would have to consider the area. Is there a lot of boat traffic, has the area been in the path of any spills, etc. With the gasoline and oil residue from boaters and even an oil spill area (if you live in an area that has had them), it would be risky. Depending where you got it from, that would help make up your mind.

On the other hand, you could put a small bit in and see if they like it, like a food trial, and let us know. But as I said, for me the algae would really have to be in a safe area. :flower:
