Well My 'Tat's not fancy but it works...

    Tank Size: 10 Gallons

Hermit Crab Number: 2 ( Lucy the PP and Micheal the Mutt )

Substrate: Play Sand ( wet to sandcastle consistancy maybe a bit drier )

Food Dish: Small yellow Food dish for dry, Glow in the dark Reptiramp for fresh

Water Bowl: Two pools made of tupperware one declorinated fresh one Declorinated Salt Water. Both have se shell 'steps' glued in with river stones and shells in the bottem. Sponges yes...

Hide Away: Tupperware Container, Edges melted to smooth, covered in Cocofiber climbing Material.

Climbing Toys: Drift Wood, an Aquarium grade Banzai Zokia, A rock Boiled in salt water and baked, Shells boiled in salt water and baked. Their Hide away also doubles as a climbing toy.

Gauges: Yes, Middle of the tank down at 'crab level' still high enough up they can't get to it but I get a reading of substrate conditions.

Temp/Humidity: Temp Fluctuates between 70 and 80 ( usualy is in the mid 70's ) Humidity also fluctuates between 73% and 76%

I'll get pictures as soon as I figure out where the heck my camura is...

Yeah, the HBH stuff is not good for crabs. Oceanic/Instant Ocean are fairly cheap and last for quite a while, so maybe you can save up some of your birthday/Christmas money and pick it up for yourself? HBH doesn't provide the stuff crabs need out of their salt water (it's a SALT water, not an ocean water with other minerals other than salt, and my adoptees who had it didn't know it was salt and went absolutely bananas for the Oceanic I gave them when I go them).

Yeah, I figured that sence the ingrediant list says just salt and when I went ot look at Oceanic it had a list of minerals in it... I'm taking it one step at a time, I just bought a coconut to make a home make Cocohut and give them a nice treat for their 'fresh food' days

Are you feeding them commercial or fresh food? What foods do they get regularly?

A mixture, Mostly they get commercial pellets, coconut, fresh bananas, a bit of EVOO, ground sand dollars, and when ever I think about it the occassional fish head... but I rarely remember to go by my local asian market to get one...

You should try to feed them more veggies, meat, and grain type things like bread or something. Meat should be given everday. I have an organic chicken veggie baby food that's great for hermies. :) They love shrimp and other seafood, too. Veggies should be given almost everyday. You can feed them Rice Crispies too if you have it.
