He may just be buried in it. Mine love to do that, and then at night I'll see the moss moving because everyone is coming down for the "buffet". :D

it`s best not to wait till u have a mite problem. in fish tanks you always have a cleaning crow in, u don`t wait till the tank is full of muck and algae

Lol well there was a thread a while back about if you could keep some animals with hermit crabs, I'll bet Pill Bugs(rolly pollys) would work! I tried doing this so I kept them in a vase trying to make a good colony of them(I do not know if its possible to breed them lol) before I start putting them in the tank, but I went to mexico for a week and when I came back there were a bunch of dead rolly pollys :(

apparently the conditions of a crabatat is the perfect breeding environment for the pill bug, they are also talking about this on another forum I belong too and the guy says he sees babies, but does not see over crowding so they are dying off as well.

I had been wanting to do this also, but have been unable to find any rollie pollis even though it's been very humid lately. I hadn't read anything negative about the combo from others who have tried. I was thinking they would help with the crab poop.

Keep us updated on your experiment.

I went to wisconsin over the weekend, and it was flurrying, seriously cold, but still I tipped over a rock and found some pill bugs.

EDIT: I searched 'potato bug' on google and some of them didn't look like a pill bug, some did. I'll show a link to what one looks like.
