I think there was a post several months ago. They might work but I would not risk it. I don't feel like they'd really help that much. They might bring some other bugs in... You could give it a try but I might just give them a might bath. Well more like dunk first.

True. And I don't think they can harm the hermies. So, maybe you are right.

I'm just thinking that you might want to make sure that nothing else gets in as well as the rolly poly. it would be quite amusing to see what the crabs think!:D

Little bugs or mites that might harm the hermies.

Well, I would just make sure that they were all washed off and that just the pollys get in, not anything else.

I would love to try this but I have sand and i think they would do better in fiber.
I agree with Coco, stick them in some luke warm water and swish them around for a few seconds before putting them in your tank, you never know what kind of microscopic critters are tagging along.
I am always worried when putting things that I can boil in salt water in my tank. So many parasites can hitch a ride and reek havoc on your crabbies.
It IS a good idea though kinda like a sucker fish for a fish tank to clean the Algae.
Also if they eat dead rotting things who is to say they arent munching on a molted crabs Exo? Your crab needs that to finish his molt and if the bugs are eating it your crab isn't
