My dad brought Sabastian home as a surprise for me yesterday and he was missing a leg and had cloudy eyes. he was to big for his huge shell and i feel like i already knew him after not even 24 hours. he wouldnt move from where ever i would put him and he would just let the little one poke at him. i feel there was nothing i could do and he was already dying when i got him.

Sabastian I will never forget you and I love you.

I know what you mean. Frankly I wish my dad bought me hermit crabs as surprises. It was not your fault that some stupid pet store knows nothing about crabs. You did everything you could for him. He seems just like snap. I only had him for a day or two. Maybe He'll be like Ocean, the miracle.

Sorry to hear about Sebastian, Clover. Sometimes losing them after one day hurts more than if we had them for a while, isn't that odd? But true. I had Larry only two days and was devastated when he passed, poor guy.
<Hugs> for you. The right crab will come along eventually. :)

I'm so sorry about Sebastien! You did everything you could and he loves you so much. I really hope he will be like my Ocean.

Yes crabbyjo. I agree completly. Something about only a short time makes it the most sad it has ever been. Like little Snap. Only a day or so. It was sad but not nearly so sad as Snap when Kiwi died. I had him a couple months but I still miss them both the same. I would think it to be sadder with the ones you are attached to but I guess not. Just the ones you were just begining to love... I still miss the old one ,Kiwi, but not the way I miss Snap.

That happened to me when I read your posts on Snap and Kiwi's threads.
